2. You disclose your income
Some men think that by showing off things, like how much money they make, that they will attract women. It will, but mostly only a very certain type of woman: the Gold Digger. If you're on a site like OkCupid, Match or Plenty-O-Fish you can easily screen out this ilk but omitting the income portion of your profile. Sure, you lose a few prospects who use that as a prohibitive characteristic but that's probably for the best in the long run.
